PUPPY RESCUE IS BASED IN
ALBOX AREA OF ALMERIA, SPAIN
ABOUT THE PUPPY RESCUE ORGANISATION
AIM
To rescue abandoned puppies in the Almanzora Valley area that are found to be at risk. To provide adequate vetenary care resulting in healthy puppies, that can then be re-homed giving the puppy a loving, safe home. To commence a program for spay female dogs within the community.
SUCCESSES
Since September 2005 over 2000 dogs have been re-homed.
Good working relationship has been established with a local vet.
Since September 2008 a charity shop has been opened in Albox creating enough funds to allow us to rent more adequate premises for our adult dogs.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Puppy Rescue in Spain is to provide a means of caring and re-homing abandoned, abused and neglected puppies. We aim to re-educate both the public and dog owners with regard to the importance of neutering and spaying of these animals. All dogs over the age of 6 months in our care will be fully vaccinated and either neutered or spayed. We endeavour to work with other animal charities for our common aim. We seek to raise funds to accomplish these aims by various means.

Puppy Rescue not only relies on public donations to function, we also need our army of volunteers and helpers to get through the daily round of walking, markets, tending sick animals, help in the shop and all the other tasks required to keep our charges in good condition.
If you can spare some time, even just one or two hours a week, both we and the dogs would greatly appreciate it. Please contact Maz on one of the numbers below.

29/10/09. This appeal has so far raised 550 €, 25% of what we need. Thank you all for your generosity.
29/11/09. A further 150 € has been raised. Please carry on looking out those odd or mismatched pieces of jewellery.
Our registration as a Charity is now under way and should be completed by the end of January.
10 February 2010. Problems with translation of the constitution has resulted in a delay, but should be completed soon.

The quiz night at The Pub, Albox on 28 January 2010 was a great success and raised 220 €. Many thanks to all who participated.
The quiz night at Los Pedereros, Cantoria. on 25th Feb was a great sucess we raised 196.50 Euros.
Our thanks to Tony and Caroline for arranging the event, to Mintcho for letting us use his Bar. to Albox Rugs for donating Raffle prizes, To Jill for giving us yet again a brain teasing Quiz and to everyone that attended the evening. A good time was had by all. Next Quiz night at Los Pedereros Thursday 6th May see you all again then.
