Animal Cruelty
Unedited version of the Noah's Arc Trauma video.
This 3-minute film was made to graphically show the kind of work and images we are facing every day at the sharp end of our rescue mission. Although in England we have our fair share of Animal abusers, even the average animal loving Spaniard would probably admit that many of his fellow countryman are some of the worst abusers of animals in Europe.

This is a brief portfolio of our work, and the last half of the video is a selection of dogs that are now re habilitated and well! **Warning - some viewers may find these images upsetting.  ( This txt has been taken from Noah's Arc Website www.noahsarcmurcia.com
After much looking around the web I (Richard Rosser - Puppy Rescue Webmaster ) came across Noah's Arc website, upon looking around i found a link to Puppy Rescue and decided to look further only to find some really disturbing and upseting videos, myself and Margaret have been speaking via E-Mail closely with Andrew Hurrell and have been authorised to use and display some of the videos. If anyone else has videos of the abuse that these harmless animals recieve and would like us to show to give people more of an understanding of what we all do then please mail them to me at: richard@puppyrescueinspain.com
I am the author of the videos produced which were originally intended as a promotional tool showing the graphic nature of the work we are involved in at Noah’s arc in Spain. It has become clear that many rescue organisation share similar objectives to us, and therefore face similar difficulties on a day-to-day basis. It was thought that with these videos being so poignant regarding the work that many dog rescue centres in Spain are involved in, that sharing these with puppy rescue Spain would enhance greater awareness of the problems we face as charities and the challenges that follow. I am very happy for Puppy rescue in Spain to use the content of these videos as appropriate.

Noah’s are has dedicated it operation to the rescue of sick and injured animals and we believe we are unique in that few charities are able to save and rehabilitate the dogs we rescue. We are the last resort for these animals, and as such quite a few of the animals we rescue have had road traffic accidents and inevitably put to sleep. However many more go on to lead rich and full lives and give so much more back in the love and appreciation they show.

Puppy rescue in Spain have already helped us greatly with the rescue of three abandoned Galgo puppies, and these are now being fostered courtesy of Bruce of Puppy rescue in Spain. Noah’s arc are very grateful for the help and assistance we have received from Margaret and Maz, and are very pleased to be linking to each others web sites.

Andrew Hurrell from Noah's Arc has allowed us to use this video and has provided us with some text with a brief run down of what they do ( see below Video)

Hi All,
My name is Poppy, and I am 18 months old,I was found with my brothers and sisters in a box on the Rambla, our mother was with us , and her name is Nana.
Puppy Rescue found us and took us in, and I was fostered with one of my brothers Buster, with Allan and Margaret.
Buster was re homed, and renamed Oscar, he is very happy with his new mum and dad.
I stayed with Allan and Margaret, until they went for a holiday in the U.K, then I went back to Puppy rescue.  When Allan and Margaret came back they missed me so much they went  to puppy rescue and collected me.
As you can see from the photo, I had a nasty sore patch on my back, we now know what it was, some person had tipped a chemical on me, I think it was to try and kill us, it did kill some of my family, but Oscar and I survived.
As you can see from the other photo, I had a very big operation, with 100 stitches, I was looked after very well, and got over it in about 3 weeks, my fur has grown back now, and I have only a little scar.
My friend is called Pansy, who was also found in a great deal of distress, and rescued, we have just come back from the U.K, we were there for 8 weeks, but it was very wet and cold.
All us dogs are very thankful for all the help we, and all dogs get from Puppy Rescue, and their dedicated volunteers, made possible by donations.

Bye Bye for now, as we are just off for our evening walk.

These are some photos of a dog I rescued last week (14/02/10), after receiving a phone call from Maz.

Unfortunately as you can see the poor dog was shot in the face, and the vet said he was too badly hurt to make a recovery  and had probably suffered for a week already.  Maz thought it would be a good idea to put it on the web site, to make people aware of letting their dogs of leads in and around hunting zones etc and the fact that it is illegal for them to be off their leads anyway.  Although this dog was a stray it could have been someone's pet.

He was a Podenco, about 1 to 2 years old. He was very skinny and had a companion who is also a boy Podenco, both of which are/were very friendly.  The remaining dog is still being fed by the couple who alerted Puppy Rescue.
